The CIP OpenVMS is a specialized program developed for education that allows teachers, researchers, and students significant discounts on software for existing and new Integrity systems.
The HP Campus Investment Program for OpenVMS available for qualified educational institutions and non-profit research institutions who wish to have access to OpenVMS software on the Integrity platform for teaching and/or research use.
The software and licenses are offered per system. Qualified customers can use the below link to register each system, and may select an OE and/or the layered products package once only for each serial number.
The individual who registers the system will be responsible for management of the software for the system and will ensure that the software licenses are used in accordance with the terms of this program. Licenses may not be used for commercial or income purposes. Licenses and their associated software cannot be transferred, assigned or sub-licensed.
HP reserves the right to remove software products from the CIP for OpenVMS at any time due to royalty obligations or other reasons, and provides no assurance that any product will continue to remain in the program.
HP offers support benefits for customers who participate in this program. For new systems, participants in the CIP for OpenVMS qualify for 37% off quoted Care Packs. Additionally, customers who register their system under the program may elect to add those OpenVMS Integrity systems under an ESL contract. Since the ESL contract requires 'rights to new versions' for the supported software, customers wishing to take advantage of the ESL program must also add Software Subscription Service for their system. This subscription service is offered to registered systems under the CIP OpenVMS at 50% of the standard rate.
Register and order via the below link. After you agree to the Terms and Conditions for the program, simply fill out the registration form. For existing systems, you will need a serial number. If you are currently working with an HP sales representative on a system, a quote number is required to receive the discount. After you have been qualified, you should receive a quote via email in one to three days.
The CIP Academic Offer is available per system, you may choose one of the below OE packages, and a layered products package.
Note: this is a system license price. OE licenses are commonly priced per processor. Consequently, this represents a significant savings.
